Overview

Chats with Legora's Assistant are built out of your messages, i.e. your questions and Legora's answers. For instance we can use prompts from the prompt library and upload a document then ask Legora questions about the document Q&A on documents, or we can ask Legora to summarise the timeline for a dispute resolution.

Using Legora's Assistant

When using the Assistant you can either choose to ask an open-ended question, e.g. please summarise the AI act, or upload a document then ask a question you want to know about the document.

Uploading a document

After uploading a document, we could:

  1. Use pre-made prompts from the prompt library under “Assistant”, or

  2. Use normal mode to ask an open end question about the document we want to know.

Structuring your Chats

Since Legora keeps track of the history within a chat, you can ask follow-up questions to continue the conversation. It might therefore be a good idea to keep related questions in the same thread.

To create a new chat while in an existing one, press the '+' in the top right corner.

Create new Chats

Create a new thread by pressing Assistant, or from within an existing chat thread plus the '+' in the top right.

Revisit Historic Chats

Chats are stored within projects and are therefore solely accessible from the project it was created in. You can always revisit a chat to ask follow-up questions - they are located under the 'Chat History' button in the top right corner.

You can filter at the top whether you'd like to see history from all projects, or just your existing project.

Managing Chats

Chat history orders your conversation history by creation date, but you can also search for specific chats using the search bar. If you for some reason want to delete a chat, open the Chat History then select the three dots in the top right corner and press 'delete'.
