Overview

The Word Add-In brings to the power of Legora directly to you in Microsoft Word, allowing you to review your document, draft new content, and ask questions about the existing document without leaving Word.

Accessing the Word Add-In

The Word Add-In can be toggled by select the Legora icon from your Word toolbar.

This has three key features:

  • Assistant: Legora will make suggested edits based on your instructions.

  • Prompt library: Legora will answer questions about the document.

  • Workflows: Legora gives you access to multiple workflows to run from.

You can also toggle Deep Think, which taps into the latest AI model from openAI

(o1). Deep Think mode provides more detailed, context-aware legal reasoning. Use

it when you need comprehensive, tailored insights.

Hint: Did you know that Legora can also read comments, and can action any requests and more!

The Assistant can be used in two modes: Edit or Ask.

Edit

You can use the review mode to have Legora provide suggested edits. You can select from one of the suggested Prompts or write your own.

You can select whether to apply or dismiss individual suggestions, or you can apply or dismiss all. You can revert the action after you have taken it.

Ask

Use this mode when you want to ask Legora about the document. Similar to assistant, Legora will review the document and provide links to specific sections of the document.

Working with a specific portion of the document

To ask Legora about a specific portion of the document or to provide edits for only one portion, you can highlight the text. Legora will then indicate that it is only working on the currently highlighted words.
