Introduction
In this article, you'll learn how to move your Assistant history from the regional Word Add-in to the Global Add-in when your organization changes how you log in.
Your Assistant history is stored on your computer and does not transfer automatically between add-ins. You must export it before switching. Any history you do not export cannot be recovered after you lose access to the regional add-in.
Before you begin
Export your Assistant history before your organization switches to the Global Add-in.
Store the exported file securely. It contains your Assistant conversations.
Agent chats are not included in the export. They are stored in Legora and remain available after the migration.
Steps
Export your Assistant history
Open the regional Legora Word Add-in.
Select your profile icon to open Settings.
Select Export Assistant history.
Confirm by selecting Export Assistant history again.
Keep the downloaded JSON file somewhere secure.
The exported file is a snapshot. If you create more Assistant conversations before switching add-ins, export the history again to include them.
Import your Assistant history
Open the Global Legora Word Add-in and sign in.
Select your profile icon to open Settings.
Select Import Assistant history.
Select the unchanged JSON file you exported.
Wait for the Assistant history imported confirmation.
Expected result
Your exported Assistant conversations appear in the Global Add-in. Importing adds them to any Assistant history already there without removing unrelated conversations. If you import the same file again, matching conversations are updated instead of duplicated.
