Release Notes: August 19, 2026

Here’s a quick overview of what we’ve launched recently. For details on any update, use the links to read our related support article.

Password protected files

Legora supports password protected files. Upload a locked file, then enter its password directly in the app to unlock it. Once unlocked, the file is available to anyone with access to it.

Notifications

Keep track of what requires your attention. Notifications appear in a dedicated inbox in Legora, giving you one place to review what’s important, including Monitor updates, Tabular Review comments, List assignments, and project sharing changes.

This first version is in-app only, with email notifications and notification settings planned next.

Agent chat history

Agent chat history gives you one place to follow active, waiting, and completed Agent chats across all your projects. You can review what happened while you were away and jump back into the right thread when you need to take action.

Claude Opus 5 in Agent Pro

Claude Opus 5, the highest-performing Opus-class model we've evaluated, is available for users with Agent Pro. Users with Agent Pro enabled can select Claude Opus 5 as another model option when working in Legora.

Redesigned onboarding and intro tour

New users see an updated onboarding experience, including a full-screen setup flow and a one-time intro tour. The tour explains how work is organized in Legora, from projects and matters to the Library, legal sources, and organization databases.

This applies only to new users. Portal guests will keep their current onboarding experience.

Roles and permissions: simplified organization database permissions

Organization database permissions are simplified by removing separate controls for creating, editing, and deleting databases. Similar to Library items, users manage the databases they own, while sharing settings determine whether those databases can be shared more widely.

Metrics page updates

The Metrics page gives teams a clearer view of how Legora is being used. With new charts, improved filters for attributes like role, department, and practice area, a richer per-user usage table, and more flexibility to choose and arrange charts and tables, it is easier to spot engagement trends and identify where training or support may be needed.

Access to non-admin users is controlled by the Governance permission. Users will only see the Metrics page if an admin has granted them access.

[Beta] Box file upload integration

Legora now supports an integration with Box. Once enabled, users can connect their account, browse the folders and files they have access to, and upload selected documents into Legora.

This initial beta supports uploads only, allowing teams to move files into projects, organization databases, the Agent, and Tabular Review with fewer manual steps.
