Overview

The iManage integration is an excellent way to work with your documents from iManage, ensuring that all documents are coming from a centralised location.

Uploading Documents from iManage

If your organisation has enabled the iManage integration you will see an option to upload a document to Legora from iManage when you select '+' from within the Documents panel.

Uploading documents

After selecting upload you will see a screen open directly to what you have access to in iManage. As you select a document to upload, it will appear in the panel on the righthand side.

Once you've select 'Sync Selected' the latest version of the documents that you select will be uploaded to your project.

Uploading folders

To upload an entire folder, switch the 'File Picker' to 'Folder Picker' located in the top-right corner.

This change will enable you to select and upload entire folders instead of single documents.

Syncing New Versions of Documents

Legora will not automatically sync new versions of your iManage documents meaning you can work confidently on editing the documents, ensuring only the versions that you intend will be available in Legora.

To see if new versions of documents are available on iManage, and to sync them, select the sync button under upload. You will then see a list of any new versions available and can choose whether or not they should be uploaded.

Limitations

The maximum number of documents that Legora can handle on one go using the iManage folder upload function is set at 500 documents. This limit includes all documents in the top-level folder and any nested subfolders. If the total number of documents exceeds 500 across all levels, the system will only upload the files located in the top-level folder. Thus we recommend checking the total number of documents in all folders and organizing them into smaller batches if necessary. This approach can help ensure a smoother upload process.
